Temple Beth Joseph invited the less fortunate to enjoy a Christmas dinner – a tradition in the temple for more than 30 years.
People enjoyed a feast and were able to chat with one another.
One organizer says the dinner was a way to bring people together who may be spending the holiday alone.
“You can’t even express what you feel in your heart. We know we’re doing the right thing. We can see on the people’s faces, you walk up to them and just wish them a merry Christmas. They have nobody to say that to. So just being able to share the holiday with them, let them know that they’re not forgotten just because they live in town alone,” said Toby Maser, a coordinator.
The Jewish temple hopes to continue this tradition for many years to come.
