A message from BQLI Region President <\/span>Teri Fields
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>January 16 – 27 Tevet<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear BQLI Sisterhood Affiliate,<\/span><\/p>\n

I am sure you are familiar with the saying \u201ccan\u2019t see the forest for the trees\u201d. I got stuck in the leaves today and yesterday, frustrated by time saving measures and events that felt like they were conspiring against me to move me backwards instead of forwards. Online ordering for pick ups with confirmation that went missing, delayed waits for groceries, forgetting to check orders that ended up having items missing that were paid for, exploding soda cans (all over the car, myself and my crochet bag), and difficult family decisions, all made me forget to look for the forest, let alone the trees. After a meltdown and angry tirade, I remembered to get over myself and think about how much I have to be grateful for. This includes the trees of my friends and family and the forest of my synagogue, BQLI Region and WLCJ Sisters who keep me in the shade, shelter me from bad storms, create deep roots and carry me through the seasons of my life. Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I continue to wear my dog tag and yellow ribbon. I have friends who still wear the number of days, 832 today, on their shirts. The yellow ribbons outside my synagogue parking lot fence stay up as we continue to pray for news about the 1 remaining deceased hostage. Our love and support for the family of Master Sgt. Ran Gvili who is not able to bury their loved one. <\/span><\/p>\n
