Torah Fund supports scholarships and programs in the worldwide Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher Jewish learning. The dedicated philanthropy of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, Torah Fund has raised over $110 million in its 80+ years.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we help committed Jewish students become the rabbis, cantors, educators, synagogue administrators, social workers, scholars, researchers, and lay leaders of tomorrow.
Our 2024–2025 Am Yisrael Chai Campaign supports scholarships and programming at The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles, Schechter Institutes of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano in Buenos Aires, and Zacharias Frankel College in Potsdam.
Torah Fund Campaign of WLCJ began in 1942 as a scholarship fund. In 1963, it merged with the Mathilde Schechter Residence Hall campaign, which provided housing for undergraduate students. In time, the campaign identified needs and raised funds for specific projects, including:
Help strengthen Jewish education and ensure the vibrancy of the Jewish people for decades to come, with your gift to Torah Fund.

We continue to develop our Torah Fund Legacy Society, offering planned giving options for our members to give an after-lifetime gift to Torah Fund.

Women Ensuring Conservative/Masorti Jewish Education
Torah Fund supports scholarships and programs in the worldwide Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher Jewish learning. The dedicated philanthropy of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, Torah Fund has raised nearly $106 million in its 79 years.
More than 35 years ago women changed the Conservative Movement to become rabbis and cantors in synagogues, and over the years, our donors have had an important role in the perpetuity of Conservative Judaism.
For the past several years, funds raised by Torah Fund have gone toward scholarships to all the schools. There are continuing opportunities for sisterhoods and individuals to provide support to all four institutions through Torah Fund. Thousands of dedicated volunteers have contributed to the spiritual, esthetic and material well being of these educational communities by supporting Torah Fund projects.
